The Jason Hendrix Experience: more than a tribute… it’s an experience.
The Jason Hendrix Experience will take you through Jimi Hendrix’s stunning three year career. Sets include a recreation of the landmark 1967 Monterey appearance, with its spectacular “Wild Thing” finale. We play all of the hits, and also rare releases, depending on set length. We can tailor our performance from an acoustic set to the full electric experience, depending on requirements.
Jason Hendrix (guitar/lead vocals) played his first guitar riff when he was 13 years old (Whole Lotta Love). He’s been playing to audiences since he was 15 and has played with Gary Boyle from Brian Auger and the Trinity, Mickey Finn from T.Rex and Yardbirds drummer Jim McCarty. Jason has been playing tribute to Jimi Hendrix in bands since 2001.
James White (drums) has been playing drums since 2009. He especially enjoys taking on the the immensely challenging task of playing drums like Mitch! Previously a member of Free’s Company, he can be found playing guitar for Something for Your Sister.
Simon Windisch (bass/backing vocals) bought his first bass in the mid 1980s. Influences were James Jamerson and Kim Deal, as well as many British Indie bands of the late 80s and early 90s. He played, and wrote music, in a number of originals bands that nobody except immediate friends and family have ever heard. 1998 brought fatherhood, and an eight year break from music. In this century, Simon returned to music with renewed vigour. He’s never far from a Jam Night (Royal Albion and The Plough, Reading and Victoria Arms, Wokingham) and has played with local Berkshire bands Shed Music, Theus, We Are Toy, Vanilla Candy, Hot Legs, The Beat Goes On, and ever busy Slough band Solace.
